Episode 1

Otoya, Syo, Cecil: Shining Solo Series?

Masato Hijirikawa: Indeed. It's the latest ST☆RISH project. The details are in the file in front of you.

Tokiya Ichinose: The gist is simple: split into teams of two, a producer and a performer, to create a single solo performance.

Ren Jinguji: Apparently, we get to pick the themes. Er, or the producer of the pair does, I mean. Looks interesting!

Natsuki Shinomiya: So, the producer comes up with a theme for the show, then helps the performer execute it. How are we paired up for it?

Otoya Ittoki: Check out this page here! It lists all the pairs. Looks like I'll be producing Cecil's performance!

Syo Kurusu: This is SO cool! Cecil, Otoya! Guess you're first to bat. Hit it outta the park!

Cecil Aijima: I'm the..."first to bat"?

Otoya Ittoki: And I'm your producer, Cecil! Man, this'll be a wild ride! Prepare for a show like no other!

Cecil Aijima: Right! And as the first to bat, I won't disappoint. Not with ST☆RISH's good name on the line. All right, Otoya, let's do this!

Episode 2

Cecil Aijima: Good morning! It's 6:00 a.m. at the moment. Early, I know, but I have a meeting with my new producer.

Otoya Ittoki: Cecil and I have been raring to get going since the briefing yesterday.

Cecil Aijima: I was up late into the night wondering what sort of theme you would come up with, Otoya.

Otoya Ittoki: No kidding? I woke up early 'cause I was so hyped! Well, it's officially day one. You ready for this, Cecil?

Cecil Aijima: I look forward to working with you.

Otoya Ittoki: All right, time to present the theme! Cecil, what I'll be having you try for this project is...

Otoya Ittoki: Ta-dah! Hip-hop dance!

Cecil Aijima: Hip-hop dance? Goodness! That certainly fits the idea of trying something new.

Otoya Ittoki: I know, right? The instant it popped into my head, I knew it was perfect for you!

Cecil Aijima: Really?

Episode 3

Otoya Ittoki: I feel like your bond with music is your most defining trait. You've got a great voice, and you can play lots of instruments... It's like music is your life!

Cecil Aijima: It's true that I couldn't imagine my life without it.

Otoya Ittoki: Right? So I figured for this project, why not have you bring the music to life using your entire body? Hence, hip-hop dance.

Otoya Ittoki: This is a solo performance, not a group gig. All eyes will be on you.

Otoya Ittoki: We'll be trying something totally new with this performance. Let's show the fans a side of Cecil they've never seen before!

Cecil Aijima: Hip-hop dance... Well, they certainly don't have that back home! And I've never danced in that style for ST☆RISH.

Cecil Aijima: I'm interested to try it. I'll aspire to show the fans a perfect, polished performance.

Otoya Ittoki: I knew you'd say that! And as your producer, I've got your back all the way.

Otoya Ittoki: Let's start by practicing two basic grooves: up and down!

Otoya Ittoki: You've got a good sense of rhythm, so I bet you'll pick them up quickly. These grooves are the pillars of hip-hop dance, so be sure to master them.

Episode 4

Cecil Aijima: Like this?

Otoya Ittoki: Good! But maybe a bit too...graceful? Add a little snap and it'll look even better.

Cecil Aijima: Snap? Okay...

Otoya Ittoki: Niiice! Now you're getting it!

Cecil Aijima: It's slowly coming to me. I like how these bouncy movements follow the rhythm.

Otoya Ittoki: Even simple moves look great when you pull 'em off just right. Cool, huh?

Otoya Ittoki: This brings me back to my Academy days. I remember the practice sessions I used to have with Syo. We had more than a few dance-offs!

Cecil Aijima: Oh? Who won?

Otoya Ittoki: Hmm... Good question! We used to end up dancing all night. Or at least until Ringo found out and got mad at us...

Cecil Aijima: You two must have been very dedicated. That's incredible! I want improve my skills, too!

Episode 5

Otoya Ittoki: Looks like you've got the basics down. Let's try some actual choreography. Just watch and copy me.

Otoya Ittoki: I'll take it slow, okay? Here goes. One, two, three, four, five, six...

Cecil Aijima: Those steps are very cool. This really is different from the usual routines.

Otoya Ittoki: Heh heh! Now you give it a whirl.

Cecil Aijima: Right! Here I go!

Otoya Ittoki: Impressive! You're really getting the hang of this. How about this next one, then?

Cecil Aijima: There sure are a lot of unique dance steps. It's a lot of fun to learn them!

Otoya Ittoki: ST☆RISH doesn't tread this ground much, but you've got a knack for absorbing new styles. I say we try a bunch more moves!

Episode 6

Cecil Aijima: How was that? I think I'm getting better!

Otoya Ittoki: Yeah, you are! Once it's second nature, you can try adding some personal twists.

Tokiya Ichinose: Hard at work, I see?

Cecil Aijima: Tokiya! I didn't see you there.

Tokiya Ichinose: I was worried when I heard Otoya was running the show all alone. I thought I'd drop in for some moral support.

Otoya Ittoki: Seriously? Aww, no need to worry! It turns out I'm a pretty capable producer.

Otoya Ittoki: And Cecil's a fast learner. We were just talking over some concepts for the show's choreography. Right, Cecil?

Cecil Aijima: Right! Otoya has a talent for teaching new skills. Each goal is clear-cut. Learning them is so much fun!

Tokiya Ichinose: Haha! It seems I worried over nothing. I hope you don't mind if I stay and watch a while.

Cecil Aijima: Not at all! And if you notice anything I can improve on, by all means, let me know!

Episode 7

Tokiya Ichinose: The music and choreography are a little unusual for you. But whenever you dance, everyone can see you're having fun. That's a wonderful thing, Aijima.

Cecil Aijima: Really? Thanks so much, Tokiya! A compliment from you does wonders for my confidence!

Tokiya Ichinose: Don't mention it. Just remember to be yourself out there, and good luck polishing your routine.

Tokiya Ichinose: Uh... What was that rumbling sound?

Otoya Ittoki: Heh heh... Anyone else hungry?

Cecil Aijima: I certainly am. Wow, would you look at the time? We've been here for hours.

Tokiya Ichinose: That's an impressive work ethic you two have. But don't forget to take regular breaks and rehydrate. Oh, speaking of which...

Otoya Ittoki: Wow! For us? Did you make these?

Tokiya Ichinose: I did. And some for myself, of course. The nutritional content has been perfectly calibrated for you, so eat up and keep up the good work.

Cecil Aijima: Thank you, Tokiya. I won't disappoint you when I take to the stage! Okay, let's eat!

Episode 8

Otoya Ittoki: Not long 'til the big day now! Feeling ready for it?

Cecil Aijima: Yes. I've been practicing non-stop, and thanks to you, I can pull off the whole sequence! Though, I can't help but feel that something is missing...

Cecil Aijima: The theme is all about trying new things. Since this is the first show the fans will be seeing, I feel there is still room for innovation.

Otoya Ittoki: Um... Are you sure you're not just feeling a little pre-show pressure?

Cecil Aijima: Pressure? What do you mean?

Otoya Ittoki: I get where you're coming from. I was asking myself the same kinda thing. Is this really the perfect choreography? Am I really showing off what Cecil can do?

Otoya Ittoki: But it's hard to make last-minute changes sink in. Hasty improvements can backfire, y'know? I think we're both on edge, being the first act and all.

Otoya Ittoki: That's why we gotta believe in the work we've committed to. But the most important thing of all is you and the audience having a great time!

Cecil Aijima: "Believe," huh? I suppose you're right... I was being such a perfectionist, I lost sight of what is really important.

Cecil Aijima: I won't veer off track anymore. From now on, I'll stick to the steps we developed. For the fans, for you, and for myself!

Episode 9

Cecil Aijima: Hello again. This is the "Shining Solo Series," and I'm Cecil Aijima!

Otoya Ittoki: And once again, I'm Otoya Ittoki, producer of this show!

Otoya Ittoki: Thank you all for coming to the very first edition of the series, featuring solo performances of ST☆RISH members and produced by other ST☆RISH members!

Cecil Aijima: What you just saw was a video documentary of us getting ready for today.

Otoya Ittoki: Any thoughts, Cecil?

Cecil Aijima: That part in the beginning where I clumsily attempted the new choreography was pretty embarrassing!

Otoya Ittoki: Don't sweat it! After all, now you get to show how much you've improved!

Otoya Ittoki: At the outset, I think we were a little too pumped for this project. We danced until our muscles ached! Maybe we danced a little too much...

Cecil Aijima: That was a painful time... Even the other ST☆RISH members were worried about us. But, at last, today marks the payoff!

Episode 10

Cecil Aijima: As shown in the video, the theme for my act is hip-hop dance!

Cecil Aijima: Otoya and I came up with this outfit as a way to add some flare to the dance sequence. Do you think it suits me?

Otoya Ittoki: Since the project is all about trying new things, I wanted the theme and the outfit to show a side of Cecil nobody's seen before!

Cecil Aijima: It's certainly different from my usual look. I was happy to see so many surprised faces when I arrived on stage.

Otoya Ittoki: Just as planned! ...Man, I sound like a real producer.

Cecil Aijima: Well, because you are! And a trusty one, at that.

Otoya Ittoki: Thanks! First up, we have the producer's warm-up act, and then it'll be time for the main event, Cecil's solo performance!

Cecil Aijima: So, everyone, are you all ready for a wonderful show?

Otoya Ittoki: And the final component of this performance is you! So everybody, get ready to feel the rhythm!

Cecil Aijima: Allow the music to take hold of you and watch as Otoya and I try something new.
